We provide tuition support and essential learning resources to the most vulnerable students, connect them with compassionate benefactors, and offer comprehensive life skills training aimed at fostering independence and confidence. Beyond education, we actively engage in advocacy and rights campaigns, addressing thematic issues that perpetuate poverty and inequality, with the goal of breaking these cycles through empowerment.
Operating across Kisumu and Homa Bay Counties, Educate and Empower works hand-in-hand with local communities, schools, and stakeholders to advance equal access to quality education. Founder and Chair, BoM
Mr. Owuor is a visionary founding member of Educate and Empower Organization, whose leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the organization’s mission and growth. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Management, he plays a pivotal role in guiding strategic decisions and ensuring effective governance. Khadija Thabit
Vice Chairperson BoM
Ms. Khadija is a dedicated member of Educate and Empower Organization, bringing extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and a specialization in community development. As Vice Chairperson of the Board of Management, she provides strategic leadership and oversight that have been vital in shaping the organization’s mission and sustainable growth. Lilian Juma
Secretary BoM and Head of Programs
Ms Lilian serves as Secretary to the Board and a dedicated head of programs of Educate and Empower Organization. With a strong managerial background, she expertly manages a diverse team of volunteers and project officers, coordinating the implementation of impactful community projects. In her role as Head of Programs /Coordinator, she ensures seamless execution of programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals. Her pivotal contributions to governance and strategic decision-making uphold the organization’s standards of transparency and effectiveness. Driven by a deep commitment to sustainability, she actively supports fundraising initiatives, fostering valuable partnerships and mobilizing resources that empower the communities served.
Domnic Ouma
Treasurer , Board of Management
Mr. Ouma is a founding member of Educate and Empower Organization. As Treasurer of the Board of Management, he applies a strong financial background to maintain accurate records, enforce rigorous checks and balances, and safeguard the organization’s financial integrity. His meticulous oversight of accounts and budgeting ensures transparency and accountability in all financial matters. With a robust managerial background and extensive experience in community development, Mr. Ouma has led impactful community projects since 2013. He is also a founding member of Community Sustainable Development Kisumu, where he has continued to apply his financial and managerial expertise. Committed to sustainability, Mr. Ouma plays a key role in forging partnerships and mobilizing resources that empower the communities served by our organizations.
Ben Kiprotich
Member, Board of Management

Drawing on deep grassroots knowledge, he has designed and led multiple community-driven projects that deliver measurable improvements in livelihoods, education access, and local governance.
